The Spenceville Wildlife and Recreation Area is comprised of miles of hiking trails. The elevation of the area varies from 200 to 1200 feet. The wildlife area is bordered on the west by Beale Air Force Base and on the north, south, and east by privately owned ranches.
The Fairy Falls trail is a moderate trail that follows Dry Creek and crosses rolling hills to the falls. Please note: there aren’t many shady areas along this trail.
Since open hunting is allowed at Spenceville from September 1 through January 31 and turkey hunting from late March through early May, hikers may prefer to avoid the area on the opening days in September and the first two weekends of turkey season.
