Fire + Ice is a stir-fry grill restaurant in Heavenly Village, South Lake Tahoe, located right next to the Marriott Timber Lodge. Dogs are not allowed inside the restaurant, but there is a designated dog-friendly section on the outdoor patio where your pup can join you for a meal. The patio faces the village walkway, so your dog gets to people-watch while you eat — a setup that keeps most dogs happily occupied, especially the social ones who thrive on new sights and smells.

The restaurant’s main draw is its build-your-own stir-fry concept. You load up a bowl from a buffet of raw ingredients — proteins like chicken, steak, shrimp, and tofu, plus a wide selection of fresh vegetables and sauces — and hand it off to the grill cooks, who prepare it on a large circular flat-top grill right in front of you. You can go back for as many rounds as you want, which makes it easy to experiment with different flavor combinations. It is a hands-on dining experience that tends to take a bit longer than a typical sit-down meal, so bring a chew toy or a stuffed Kong to keep your dog content during the extra table time.

The drink menu includes signature cocktails, craft beers, and a short wine list. The bar tends to have a lively atmosphere in the evenings, especially after a day on the Heavenly slopes. During warmer months, the patio is a comfortable spot to linger over an afternoon beer while your dog naps under the table. In winter, it can get cold out there, so dress in layers and consider a dog jacket if your pup has a thin coat.

Heavenly Village itself is a walkable area with shops and other restaurants, and most of the outdoor spaces are comfortable for leashed dogs. After your meal, you can stroll through the village with your dog and take in the mountain views. The Heavenly Gondola base is right there too, though dogs are not permitted on the gondola itself.

Parking in Heavenly Village can be tight during peak ski season and summer weekends, so arriving a little early or using one of the nearby public lots is a smart move. Water bowls for dogs are usually available on the patio, but bringing your own collapsible bowl is always a safe bet. Call ahead to confirm patio availability and dog-friendly seating, especially during busy holiday weekends when the restaurant fills up fast.
