Fusion Taps sits just off Blue Ravine Road in Folsom, and it’s one of those places where the menu actually makes you pause. They’re doing American and Thai cuisine together—which sounds odd until you realize how well it works. One visit we had their pad thai alongside a burger, and both were genuinely good, not like they were just throwing things at the wall.
The craft beer selection is solid. They’ve got a rotating list of local and regional options, plus wine if that’s more your speed. The patio is where you’ll want to be anyway, especially with a dog. They welcome well-behaved dogs out there, so you can actually settle in for a couple hours without worrying about leaving your dog home or crated in a car.
The vibe is casual enough that you don’t feel like you need to dress up, but it’s also put-together—not a dive bar situation. We went on a weekend afternoon with our dog and grabbed a table pretty easily. The staff didn’t make a fuss about the dog being there, just treated it as normal, which is honestly the best kind of dog-friendly policy. No special theatrics, no photo ops, just “yeah, your dog can hang here.”
What made it work for us was that the food actually takes some time, so having your dog settle in next to the table felt natural rather than rushed. You’re not going to grab a quick bite and leave—you’ll linger. The noise level is moderate, and there’s enough going on around you that your dog won’t feel like the center of attention. If you’re in the Folsom area looking for somewhere to bring your dog where the food is actually interesting, this is worth trying.
