Located just off Highway 101 North of the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Trailer Park puts you within striking distance of everything in the San Francisco area—ferry terminals, bus routes, and countless Bay Area attractions. What really matters if you’re coming with your dog, though, is the setting. The park sits directly adjacent to the Corte Madera Ecological Preserve and its shorebird marsh, with Muir Woods and Mt. Tamalpais just a short drive away. These are serious hiking destinations with miles of trails through redwood forests and along ridgetops, perfect for spending entire days exploring with your dog.

Beyond the immediate surroundings, you’ve got beach access points scattered throughout Marin and plenty of other trails within easy reach. Whether you want a quick walk around the marsh or an ambitious day hike, the location works well.

The park does allow dogs, but there are clear expectations. Your dog needs to stay leashed whenever they’re outside your RV or trailer—no exceptions. They can’t be left unattended at any point, and you need to clean up after them immediately. Digging or property damage isn’t tolerated. The park takes these rules seriously enough that they reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog becomes a problem or if management has to involve outside authorities.
