Harada Heritage Dog Park

16919 E La Palma Ave, Corona, California

Harada Heritage Dog Park sits on the east side of Corona with good sightlines across open grassland, giving dogs room to move and owners a clear view of the action. The park’s defining feature is its size—this isn’t a postage-stamp enclosure, but rather a sprawling off-leash area where dogs can actually run without feeling hemmed in by fencing. The terrain is mostly flat with patches of dirt and grass, typical of inland Riverside County, and the open layout means you’re exposed to the afternoon sun, which matters during summer months when temperatures here easily push into the 90s and beyond.

Dogs are allowed off-leash throughout the designated dog park area. There’s no fee. The park operates during standard daylight hours, though enforcement of closing times is loose. Water bowls are available near the entrance, though you’ll want to bring your own water bottle during warm months since the park’s water supply can run low on busy days. A few scattered trees provide minimal shade, so midday visits in June through September require heat management—bring water for your dog and plan shorter sessions.

The park draws a mixed crowd depending on time of day. Early mornings and late afternoons are noticeably less crowded than weekends between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., when families tend to show up. Winter and early spring see steady mid-day traffic without the heat stress. East La Palma Avenue runs directly by the park, and parking fills up quickly on weekend mornings but turns over steadily during weekday afternoons. If you’re coming from central Corona or the 91 Freeway, plan for about 10-15 minutes of driving depending on your starting point. The surrounding neighborhood is residential and quiet, so it’s a straightforward trip—no hiking or terrain challenge, just a drive to a place where your dog can move freely.
