Harborview RV Park in Morro Bay is small by design — just eight spaces tucked along the waterfront where you can actually ditch the RV and get around on foot or bike. Once you’re parked, you won’t need to move your rig again. The marina, nature preserve, estuary, and Embarcadero are all within walking distance, and you’re steps from the beach and downtown shops.
The park recently underwent a full refresh, catering specifically to travelers with smaller motorhomes or RVs who want something different from the typical large, transient parks. Each space has been upgraded with either 30 or 50 amp power and full hookups. The restroom facilities are clean with tiled showers, and there’s laundry on-site plus free Wi-Fi so you can stay connected if you need to.
What makes this place stand out is how quiet and intentional it feels. The owners clearly care about the park itself — they actually welcome vintage RVs and appreciate owners who take pride in their rigs. You get the sense that standards matter here, which keeps the atmosphere more relaxed than you’d find at bigger parks with higher turnover.
Stays start at a two-day minimum and go up to a week, but they also offer extended packages if you want to settle in for up to six months. That flexibility means you can stay as long as you need without feeling pressured to keep moving. From Highway 1, take the Morro Bay Boulevard exit and head west to Monterey Avenue, then turn right — the park sits right at the corner of Monterey and Beach Street, close enough to downtown that you’ll hear the sea lions but far enough that you actually get some peace and quiet.
