Heartland Dog Park is a fully fenced, off-leash dog park located within Hecker Pass Park on 3rd St. in Gilroy.
Heartland Dog Park is enclosed with a low chain link fence and offers dogs a large grassy area to play and a paved walking path. It does not have separate areas for large and small dogs, so use caution with small pups.
There are a few benches within the park, however little shade. Waste bags and trash receptacles are provided. The dog park has a drinking fountain for dogs and people located just outside the entrance gate, but not within the dog park play area. The park has stunning mountain views and is a great spot to watch the sunset.
There is also a dog-friendly bike and walking path that runs behind the dog park if you’d like to enjoy a walk as well.
