The place works well whether you want to pitch a tent, park an RV, or try something in between.

The tent camping here has the feel of a State Park without the remoteness—you can fall asleep listening to the trees and then walk into town for dinner. Sites are shaded and spacious, with that genuine campground vibe. Dogs stay for $5 per night, with a two-dog maximum per site.

If tent camping appeals to you but you’d rather sleep on an actual mattress, the glamping tents are a solid middle ground.
