The dog-friendly Llama Cottage sits on a wooded estate about a mile north of the main Little River Inn property. It’s a luxurious spot, though it’s one of the few Little River Inn cottages without ocean views—if that’s important to you, ask about Rosie’s, Hannah Madison, or Johanna Brock instead.
The cottage itself has a cozy gas fireplace, a king bed, and a spacious bathroom with a shower. The living room includes a sofa bed if you need extra sleeping space, plus French doors that open onto a private hot tub overlooking the gardens and forest. You and your dog can spend time visiting the llamas next door and exploring the surrounding gardens.
Little River Inn handles the details thoughtfully. They provide water and food bowls, a pet towel, furniture cover sheets, waste bags, and welcome treats for your dog. The property map shows designated on-leash walking areas with waste bag dispensers and receptacles throughout.
There are no size or breed restrictions, and you can bring up to two dogs. The pet fee is $30 per dog per night. Keep in mind that pets can’t be left alone in the cottage, and you’re responsible for any damage they might cause. If you want to grab breakfast or dinner, they offer dog-friendly dining with advance reservations.
The location gives you easy access to the Mendocino Coast’s quieter side—you’re close enough to explore Little River’s trails and beach areas without being in the thick of the busier tourist zones. The wooded setting means plenty of shade for walks, which is nice if you’re visiting during warmer months. Call ahead to reserve your pet-friendly room and let them know about any dining plans.
