The 126-acre Newhall Community Park can be found along Galindo Creek east of Treat Boulevard in Concord. Access is via Newhall Parkway south of Clayton Road or from Turtle Creek Road. Galindo Creek meanders through the park.
Approximately 30 acres of Newhall Community Park is improved with ponds along the creek, a play structure, picnic areas, bocce courts, and turfed athletic fields. There is one reservable group picnic area in a secluded creekside setting with large oak trees. A Vietnam War Memorial graces the vista point.
The Paw Patch is a secure, fenced area within the park where dogs can exercise off-leash. The designated area for small dogs is designed for dogs less than 30 pounds only. Small dog use in the larger area is at the discretion of the owner(s)/handler(s). Dogs weighing over 30 pounds are not allowed in the smaller dog area for any reason.
Dogs must remain on leash when they are outside of the Paw Patch at Newhall Community Park.
