Located just a short stroll from Seacliff State Beach, this trailer park puts you within easy reach of the Historic Concrete Boat, a fishing pier, and some solid surf breaks. The beach town of Aptos is right there with restaurants and shopping at Rancho Del Mar Shopping Center, so you won’t feel isolated from amenities.
The park itself accommodates RVs up to 34 feet long, including 5th wheels, and vehicles with a combined length of 34 feet. All spaces have full hook-ups with 30 or 50 amp service, plus free WiFi and cable TV. It’s the kind of setup where you can actually settle in and be comfortable, not just park and rough it.
What I’d mention: because this place is so close to the beach and gets stellar weather year-round, it stays packed nearly full throughout the entire year. The regular visitors come back again and again, which tells you something about how well it’s run. That means you absolutely need to make reservations well in advance if you want a spot during summer or any school break period. Even off-season bookings fill up faster than you’d expect.
Getting there is straightforward from Highway 1. Take the State Park Drive exit and head toward the beach. When you hit Center Street (the first cross street), turn left, then another left to the park entrance. You’re about 7 miles south of Santa Cruz, so it’s close enough for a day trip into the city but far enough away that you feel like you’ve actually gotten somewhere.
The smog-free coastal air is a genuine bonus if you’re coming from inland or the Bay Area. Bring your dog and plan on spending time at the actual state beach once you’ve gotten them settled at the park.
