Located in Three Rivers, just 8 miles from Sequoia National Park’s entrance, Sequoia RV Ranch spreads across 21 acres along the north fork of the Kaweah River. The setting is genuinely peaceful—mature trees and surrounding hills create a real forest feel, which dogs seem to appreciate as much as their humans do.
The ranch has 56 sites to choose from, so there’s flexibility depending on what you need. Full hook-up riverfront spots work great if you want that water view and easy access to the river for your dog to wade. Premium pull-thrus are spacious enough that you won’t feel cramped, and they’ve got water and electric only options if you prefer something simpler. If you’re tent camping, they’ve added a dedicated dry camping area. Most sites include patios, fire rings, and picnic tables with decent shade coverage, plus cable and Wi-Fi if you need to stay connected.
The real draw here is the spring-fed swimming and fishing holes on the property. Dogs love having access to water for cooling off, especially in the heat before you head into the park. It’s a nice break from driving, and your dog can actually get in and swim rather than just splashing at the edge.
Getting there from Visalia, take Highway 198 east past Lake Kaweah toward Three Rivers. Once you pass the golf course, turn left onto North Fork Drive. You’ll cross a river bridge and continue for about 2.2 miles. When you spot the “Kaweah” sign, you’re close—the ranch entrance is on the right side. The location works well as a base camp before heading into the park, especially if you want your dog to get some water time in first.
