The ground is a mix of grass and decomposed granite that drains well after rain, keeping paws dry and avoiding the dust clouds of harder-packed alternatives. Water stations are positioned throughout the park, and mature trees provide shade in pockets across the grounds—arriving early on summer days or in late afternoon keeps things cooler. The smaller-dog section is fully enclosed rather than just a rope divider, giving owners of anxious or senior dogs genuine separation.
