Steel Bonnet Brewing Company is a family-owned and operated craft brewery that produces small batches of beer in a range of styles, from traditional cask-conditioned British ales to robust stouts and porters to hop-forward American West Coast IPAs.

Dogs are more than welcome to visit with you at this pet and family-friendly brewery in Scotts Valley, where they truly love pets. It’s even pig-friendly, so you might even get to see a pet pig when you stop in, if you’re very lucky.

Its roots are firmly embedded in home brewing, from the owner Donald’s college days brewing in a bucket (which also served as a laundry hamper), to brewing 5-gallon partial-mash batches in his kitchen, to most recently brewing 20-gallon batches in his garage on a custom-built angle iron system.

While Steel Bonnet has transitioned to commercial brewing, they attribute much of their brewing style and beer characteristics to our homebrew roots.
