The Springs at Borrego sits in the middle of the Anza-Borrego Desert, where the landscape stretches out in every direction and the air feels completely different from anywhere else in San Diego County. This isn’t just an RV park—it’s a full resort setup with 90 pull-through sites, rental units, and enough amenities that you could spend weeks here without getting bored.

The mineral baths are the real draw for a lot of people. They’re heated saltwater pools, which feel especially good in the desert when the temperature swings wildly between day and night. The park also has a regular swimming pool, an 18-hole golf course with a driving range, tennis courts, and a clubhouse where they run social activities constantly. If you’re into stargazing, they’ve got an astronomy park set up specifically for that, which makes sense given how dark and clear the skies get out here.

For your dog, there’s a dedicated dog park where they can run around off-leash and actually socialize with other dogs instead of just walking in circles on a leash. It’s one of those unexpected amenities you don’t always find at desert RV parks. Everywhere else on the property, dogs need to stay leashed, which is pretty standard.

The park earned some serious credentials—it was named Small Park of the Year by the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds in 2009-2010, and in 2013 it made the Good Sam Travel Guide’s top-rated list as one of only 30 parks out of more than 11,500 in the entire country. That’s the kind of recognition that doesn’t come from just having good marketing.

Borrego Springs itself is a quirky desert town worth exploring while you’re staying here. The park gives you a solid base to venture out during the day and come back to somewhere comfortable at night, which matters when you’re dealing with desert heat and an RV.
