More than 1,000 people showed up and stood in line up to three hours when Track 7 Brewing Co. opened on New Year's Eve 2011. Since then, Sacramento's newest brewpub has become a neighborhood gathering place on the fringe of Curtis Park, just over the railroad tracks from Sacramento City College.
No food is served in Track 7's warehouse setting, but a food truck pulls up most evenings and parking-lot vendors are on hand for special events. Well-behaved dogs are seen every night at the patio tables in the tap room, whose industrial-strength garage door opens to the parking lot.
In January 2015, Track 7 opened a second, larger location in the Natomas neighborhood north of downtown.
