One of Napa’s classic wine estates, Trefethen is still a hidden gem. Easy to find, but only if you’re looking, their entry is on Oak Knoll Avenue, tucked away from the crowds of Highway 29.
The driveway John Trefethen used to land his plane on runs through the middle of the vineyard, over the ground they have tended for over 45 years.
Trefethen’s history changed when a 6.0 earthquake shook through Napa Valley at 3:20 am on Sunday, August 24, 2014. The beloved Historic Building took a direct hit thus displacing our Tasting Room into a temporary location.
A team of top engineers and historical building architects are working hard on a plan to restore the cherished building. They are hopeful her grand doors will swing open again to welcome guests.
Trefethen Tasting Room might be in a different location but they promise to deliver the legendary and highly rated Trefethen hospitality. So come visit and enjoy the wine you love.
