Vinewood Park

931 Virginia Avenue, Lodi, California 95242

(209) 333-6742

Lodi has five parks where dogs can actually get some room to roam, and Vinewood Park on W. Tokay Street is one of the best setups if your dog needs serious off-leash time. The dog area here is genuinely spacious—a large grass section where dogs can run without feeling cramped, which makes a real difference if you’ve got a high-energy dog or just want to let them burn off steam. You’ll find the entrance on the back side near the school, and it’s straightforward to access once you know where to look.

If Vinewood doesn’t fit your plans that day, Lawrence Park at N. Washington Street has a designated area too, though it’s smaller. Peterson Park over on Evergreen Drive has a walkway on the south side that works for dogs, good if you’re looking for a path rather than open run space.

The other options include Lodi Lake on W. Turner Road if you don’t mind keeping your dog on leash—the dog-friendly section is on the north side and gives you a nice walking route with water views. Beckman Park at the corner of Ham and Century Boulevard rounds out the five, and it’s worth knowing that none of these parks allow dogs on the actual sporting fields, so stick to the designated dog areas.

The real advantage of having this spread of options across Lodi means you can pick based on what your dog needs that day. If they need space to really move around and play with other dogs, Vinewood is your best bet. If you just want a quick walk with scenery, Lodi Lake gives you a nice change of pace. All five are accessible from different parts of town, so you won’t always have to drive to the same spot.
