From wine tasting in Napa Valley to visiting Alcatraz in San Francisco, Vineyard RV Park sits in a convenient location for California road trips. Located in Vacaville just off Interstate 505, it’s an easy stop whether you’re heading north or east.
The park offers flexibility with accommodations. Pull into a spacious pull-through site if you’re bringing your RV, or choose one of the newer premium pond-front sites for a more scenic setup. Don’t have an RV? You can pitch a tent in one of their shaded premium tent camping areas, or rent a cabin or RV directly from the park if you prefer not to bring your own.
Your dog gets real space here. There are two separate off-leash dog areas where they can run around and socialize with other dogs. The park has also set up agility equipment in these areas, which gives dogs a chance to work through some exercise beyond just walking.
Getting there is straightforward. From Interstate 80 eastbound, take the Interstate 505 North exit in Vacaville, then drive about 3 miles and take the Midway Road exit. The park sits on the left side at 4985 Midway Road.
One important thing to know upfront: Vineyard RV Park has extensive breed restrictions. They prohibit dogs identified as “aggressive,” and specific breeds including Akita inu, Alaskan malamute, American bulldog, boxer, bullmastiff, chow chow, Doberman pinscher, German shepherd, mastiff, pit bull, rottweiler, and Siberian husky—whether purebred or mixed. If you have one of these breeds, you’ll need to look elsewhere. For dogs that meet their requirements, the off-leash areas mean your dog actually gets to stretch their legs rather than staying tethered at a campsite all day.
