In Northern California, late summer means sun-soaked skies and warm evenings ideal for outdoor dining. Noyo Harbor Inn’s HarborView Bistro & Bar feels especially inviting this time of year, thanks to tranquil river vistas and patio tables that welcome furry pals. Watch fishing boats float by while sampling seafood and organic produce. Menus include suggested wine and whiskey pairings for an extra treat.
HarborView Bistro & Bar opens daily, except for Tuesdays, and dishes up brunch until 2 p.m. There are few prettier places to start the day, whether you choose house-made granola, bananas foster French toast or one of several flavorful sandwiches. Mendocino County wines and regional beers headline the menu of happy hour food and drink specials available in the afternoon.
The HarborView Bistro & Bar team serves dinner starting at 5 p.m. Look for California-fresh seafood, steaks, pastas and salads that incorporate local ingredients, along with beverages by area producers. Bar manager and mixologist Laura Spradlin brings three decades of cocktail experience to her role here. She’s developed a line of organic bitters infused with fruit, herbs, and dried, cured flowers – including many grown just down the road. Bottles of bitters are available for purchase, and they’ve become a popular Noyo Harbor Inn keepsake for guests.
Dining at the HarborView Bistro & Bar is a family-friendly affair. Pets can share meals with their humans on the restaurant patio, and the Minnow’s Menu includes classic favorites for guests ages 12 and younger.
