Come to the Big Bear Puptopia Festival Saturday July 26 for a tail-wagging day of fun in Veterans Park. Enjoy the Pawground, relax in the K9 Lounge, watch stunt shows at the Main Stage, pamper your pup at The Spaw, test agility in the Pupformance Zone, and shop at the Pup Vendors marketplace. Don’t miss this ultimate dog-friendly festival!
Dog lovers from across Southern California are invited to attend with up to two leashed dogs per person. Admission is free with RSVP.
The Pawground is a massive dog play area featuring a ball pit, oversized fire hydrant props, tunnels, and ramps. It’s designed for active dogs and photo-ready moments, with playful setups like giant tennis balls that make for great social media posts. Nearby, the Pupformance Zone offers agility-style activities for dogs and their humans, encouraging teamwork through tunnels, ramps, and jumps.
Live entertainment takes place throughout the day on the Main Stage, with stunt dog shows, training tips, and agility demos. It’s a great opportunity to learn something new while watching skilled pups in action.
For a more relaxed experience, the Puptopia K9 Lounge provides a shaded spot to cool off with refreshments for people and dogs alike. Meet-ups by breed and casual hangouts happen here throughout the day. The on-site Spaw adds a pampering touch with grooming stations and pet-icures for dogs that want to look their best.
Vendors will be on hand offering everything from gourmet treats and toys to leashes, collars, and pet apparel. The new Treat Tower is sure to be a hit with dogs of all sizes, offering plenty of snacks and samples to try.
Puptopia also supports local animal rescues and pet-related nonprofits. Visitors can connect with adoption groups and community resources during the festival. All dogs must be on fixed-length leashes (no longer than six feet), and must be vaccinated and licensed. The event is held rain or shine.
With its cool mountain air and scenic lake views, Big Bear Lake is the perfect backdrop for a day like this. Just a couple of hours from Los Angeles or San Diego, it’s a favorite destination for pet travelers looking to enjoy the outdoors with their companions. Want to make a weekend of it? Stay at one of Big Bear’s dog-friendly places to stay.
Mark your calendar for July 26. RSVP online, pack up your pup, and come enjoy a full day of play, treats, and community in the heart of Big Bear.
