San francisco spca 2015

By: DogTrekker Staff

As part of its lifesaving work, the San Francisco SPCA provides a safe, caring haven for many dogs who'd otherwise fall through the cracks because of age, breed, medical condition, or sheer bad luck. Whether at one of the SFSPCA's facilities or in the care of one of its many foster homes, they soak up the TLC — and reveal their true selves — while they wait for the human of their dreams.

SF SPCA
Meet Marco.

Take Marco here. Technically, this shepherd-mix boy is a senior at 8, but no one told him. A gregarious fellow, he's happy to hang out with you and help with whatever you're doing, whether you're working in the yard or lounging on the couch watching TV. Tennis balls? Big yes. Car ride? Woohoo!

Marco can be a bit socially clueless with other dogs, because he's pretty excited about playing with them and barks a lot. He'll do well with a person who's wise to doggie manners and can help him be a bit more relaxed in group situations. Day to day, Marco enjoys a quiet life, well punctuated with fun outings. He's really hoping for a permanent situation that involves a whole lot of belly scratches, too.
