A small French Bulldog, sporting a red bow and a pink outfit, stands on the red railing of the Skunk Train. The dog looks directly at the camera while behind it, blurred tracks and surrounding greenery suggest a scenic train ride.

The Skunk Train, a beloved heritage railroad in Northern California’s Mendocino County, has been named fifth in USA Today’s 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Scenic Train Ride. This recognition celebrates the train’s exceptional views through redwood forests and its dog-friendly policy, making it a perfect adventure for pet owners.

“We are incredibly honored to receive this award,” said General Manager Efstathios Pappas. The Skunk Train’s combination of scenic beauty and inclusive experiences has made it a standout destination. For more information on the Skunk Train and its adventures, call (707) 964-6371.
