Café Crêpe

41003 Big Bear Boulevard, Big Bear Lake, California 92315

(844) 661-4355

Café Crêpe is the only espresso bar and crêperie in Big Bear, and it’s run by Leslie, who moved here from France and brought her cooking with her. You’ll find the place on Big Bear Boulevard, and it’s the kind of spot where you can actually sit outside with your dog while eating real French crêpes and drinking good coffee—something that’s surprisingly hard to find in mountain towns.

The menu covers both sweet and savory crêpes, which means you could order something like a ham and cheese crêpe for lunch or go for chocolate and berries if you want dessert. They use organic coffee for their espresso drinks, and they’ve thought about dietary needs too with vegan options like the Plant Power crêpe and gluten-free buckwheat batter available.

The outdoor patio is where all the seating happens, which works perfectly if you’re bringing your dog. Your pup can sit right next to your table while you eat, and they actually have dog meals on the menu so your dog gets something too instead of just watching you eat. If you don’t want to sit, there’s a drive-thru window for grabbing food to go.

Weekends get busy with both locals and visitors, so you might wait a bit during peak hours, but it moves pretty steadily. The location makes it convenient for fueling up before or after exploring the dog-friendly trails around the lake—you can grab a crêpe and coffee, sit on the patio for a bit with your dog, and then head out refreshed. It’s one of those places that feels less touristy than you’d expect for Big Bear, probably because Leslie actually runs it herself and cares about what goes out the window.
