Highland House Restaurant at Mount Shasta Resort makes an easy, scenic stop for dog travelers staying or exploring near Lake Siskiyou. Located in the resort clubhouse, the restaurant looks out toward Mount Shasta and the upper lakes of the golf course, giving guests a relaxed mountain setting for lunch, dinner or drinks. Best of all for pet parents, you confirmed directly with the restaurant that the patio is dog friendly, so well-behaved pups can join their people outdoors.
The menu leans American and contemporary, with casual, satisfying options for a post-adventure meal. Current offerings include salads, burgers, sandwiches, fish and chips, chicken strips, a black bean burger and entrées served after 5 p.m., such as flank steak, spinach-stuffed chicken and chicken Marsala. The restaurant also has a full-service cocktail lounge, with draft and bottled beers, wine and appetizers available in the lounge.
Highland House is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to close, usually around 8 p.m.
Because hours and patio seating can shift seasonally or with weather, dog travelers should call ahead before visiting to confirm outside seating availability.
