Small dogs are welcome at Ontario Airport Inn, a cozy hotel near Ontario International Airport that’s surprisingly quiet despite its proximity to the runways. The location gives you the best of both worlds—you’re close enough that getting to your flight takes just minutes, but the hotel sits outside the flight path, so you won’t have planes rumbling overhead at odd hours.
The rooms come equipped with Tempur-Pedic memory foam beds, which honestly made a noticeable difference after a long drive. You’ll find 40-inch LCD and HD Direct TV, free fast WiFi and hardwired internet, plus a refrigerator and microwave if you want to grab snacks or prepare simple meals for your dog. That microwave came in handy when I needed to warm up some food.
The location puts you within walking distance of the Ontario Convention Center, and you’re just minutes from some major attractions if you’re spending more than one night. The California Speedway, TOYOTA Arena, and Pomona Fairplex are all nearby if you’ve got time to explore. For meals, there are numerous fine dining options and casual restaurants that deliver directly to the hotel, plus shopping at Ontario Mills Mall and Victoria Gardens if you need anything before your flight.
The staff accommodates small dogs without making a big deal about it, which I appreciated. Just know upfront that they have a 20-pound maximum weight limit for dogs, so this works best for smaller breeds or puppies. If you’re flying out early and need a reliable place that won’t stress you or your dog out with airport noise, this is a solid choice that’s actually convenient rather than just being close to the terminal.
