Rocker Oysterfeller’s at the Wharf

595 California 1, Bodega Bay, California 94923

(707) 772-5670

Rocker Oysterfeller’s sits right on Highway 1 with views across Bodega Bay, and the outdoor patio is genuinely built for lingering—it’s covered and heated, so fog and wind don’t chase you off after twenty minutes. The menu centers on oysters and seafood, obviously, but also does solid fish tacos, clam chowder, and grilled fish. On a clear day you can watch boats and seals from your table while eating, which is the whole point of being here.

Dogs are welcome on the patio but stay outside; there’s no interior access for pets. The patio itself is spacious enough that you won’t feel crowded even when the place fills up on weekends. Water is available for dogs—they bring it out without you asking. The staff doesn’t hand out special dog treats, but they’re friendly about having dogs around and won’t make you feel like you’re bending rules. Since oysters and raw seafood dominate the menu, there’s little chance of accidental poisoning anyway.

The location is the main draw: you’re sitting at the mouth of Bodega Bay itself, about fifty feet from the water. The drive up Highway 1 from Occidental or down from Fort Ross is scenic. Hours run from around 11 a.m. to sunset most days, though winter hours shift earlier. The patio can get loud when it’s busy, and parking fills fast on weekends—arrive before noon or after 3 p.m. if you can. Bring layers even in summer; the bay generates its own weather system and the coastal wind is real. If you’re planning a longer Bodega Head hike or a walk around the harbor, this makes a solid lunch or early dinner stop on the drive back.
