Tenaya at Yosemite is an award-winning, full-service resort in Fish Camp, just outside the Wawona (south) entrance to Yosemite National Park. Just know that less than 50 percent of rooms are dog-friendly, so you’ll need to book specifically for a dog room. Dogs up to 70 pounds are generally welcome, though larger dogs may be approved at the resort’s discretion—call when you book to discuss. They accept up to three dogs per room, with non-refundable deposits of $100 for two or $125 for three. Dogs can’t be left alone in the room, and all pets need to be current on shots and in good health.

After exploring Yosemite Valley, you can eat at Jackalope’s Bar & Grill, which sources ingredients locally.
