Wine Country RV Park sits in Rohnert Park, making it a solid base if you’re planning to explore Sonoma County with your dog. The location is genuinely convenient—you’re about 45 miles north of San Francisco, just 5 miles south of Santa Rosa, and a quick drive from both Napa Valley and the northern coast beaches. If you’re into wine tasting, the park puts you close to everything without feeling like you’re in the middle of the action.
The park itself has 50 overnight RV sites with 30/50 amp full hookups and picnic tables at each spot. There’s free WiFi and cable TV, plus standard amenities like laundry facilities, clean restrooms with showers, and an exercise room if you need to stretch after a long drive. The community room has a fireplace, piano, and lending library, so you’ve got places to hang out beyond your RV if the weather turns.
Dogs are welcome here as long as they’re non-aggressive, which is straightforward enough. You’ll have decent access to walking around the park, and from Rohnert Park you can reach various trails and open spaces in the area. The Graton Casino and Resort is just 3 miles away if you want to leave your dog at the RV for an evening out.
Since the park is open year-round, timing isn’t a constraint. The area around Santa Rosa has good dining and specialty shops worth exploring on days when you want to get out of the rig. Getting there is straightforward from Highway 101—if you’re coming from the north, take the West Sierra/Cotati exit and head east on what becomes East Cotati; from the south, use the Rohnert Park Expressway exit and work your way to East Cotati from there.
