Clear, cool waters make Lake Tahoe famous. The destination is also famously friendly for dogs. Furry family members love Coon Street Dog Beach, on the east end of Kings Beach. It’s got restrooms, picnic areas and a boat launch. Chimney Beach is a secluded gem on the lake’s east side.

Look for Pebble Beach Dog Beach four miles south of Tahoe City, not far from Obexer’s General Store in Homewood. Stop in for sandwiches before playing in the lake. See more of our favorite beaches.
