Serrano Campground

This family campground is located in the San Bernardino mountains. Serrano is located on the north side of Big Bear Lake, 2 miles east of Fawnskin. There are 93 single sites and 16 double sites. Popular activities include hiking, mountain biking, boating and fishing.

Dog-friendly hike: From the campground entrance, take the pedestrian walkway to the beginning of Cougar Crest Trail. From there it is a 7.5-mile round-trip hike, ascending 1,300 feet to reach 8,200-foot Bertha Peak. After 2.5 miles turn right on Pacific Crest Trail. Take another right on Bertha Peak Road and make your way to the summit.
