The East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) in the San Francisco Bay Area is a network of public parks and trails spanning Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Established in 1934, it is the largest regional park district in the United States, covering over 125,000 acres and featuring 73 parks. The district is known for its scenic beauty, diverse ecosystems, and recreational opportunities, including hiking, biking, and picnicking. For dog owners, the EBRPD is particularly accommodating, offering numerous dog-friendly trails. In fact, there are about 1,250 miles of trails, many of which allow dogs, making it a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and their canine companions.
